TTS Employees Support North Texas Food Bank with Food Drive
(November 16, 2007) As part of its ongoing Responsible Corporate Citizenship
(RCC) program, Total Transportation Services recently supported the North Texas
Food Bank with a major Food Drive by employees from their corporate office
located in Plano, TX.
The Food Drive far exceeded expectations by generating 1,172 food items, an
average of 21 items per employee, and equating to almost 2,000 pounds of food.
The Food Drive lasted the first 12 days of November in time for the holidays.
The employees were divided into six teams with each competing to see which team
could contribute the most food items. Team DALE moved ahead on the final day of
the Food Drive and won the competition with a total of 330 items. As pictured,

"We appreciate all who participated and made the competition fun," said Peggy
Garrett, the RCC Committee Leader. "More importantly, everyone's generosity
will feed the hungry for the holidays and many months to come."
The North Texas Food Bank addresses the critical issue of hunger in the North
Texas area by securing food donations for distribution through a network of
charitable organizations who feed the hungry in 13 North Texas counties,
including Dallas, Denton, Collin, Fannin, Rockwall, Hunt, Grayson, Kaufman,
Ellis, Navarro, Lamar, Delta and Hopkins. The North Texas Food Bank has many
programs that benefits 600+ feeding/education programs, including food
pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, after-school programs, senior citizen
centers, and other social service centers. These organizations receive food
from the Food Bank and distribute to North Texans in need through their pantry
and on-site meal programs.
