Total Transportation Services Announces 2007 Carrier of the Year Awards
(April 24, 2008 - Dallas) Total Transportation Services (TTS) made its first
ever Carrier of the Year Awards to four recipients in four distinct
transportation categories including Rail, OTR, Drayman and LTL.
Each winner was selected from a list of the top 15 suppliers in their category.
The criteria were based on such items as on-time performance, ease of use,
technology and revenue for the year from TTS. Total Transportation Services
agents and employees then voted to determine the winners.
The announced 2007 Carrier of the Year award winners were:
Rail Carrier of the Year was awarded to Pacer Stacktrain. The
company offers coast-to-coast rail transportation services for containerized
freight in North America. Pacer Stacktrain is headquartered in Concord, CA.
OTR Carrier of the Year was awarded to Swift Transportation. The
company is a truckload carrier headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona and is a
subsidiary of Swift Corporation.
Drayman Carrier of the Year was awarded to RoadLink Intermodal Logistics.
RoadLink is one of North America’s largest, privately-held intermodal logistics
providers.
LTL Carrier of the Year was awarded to SAIA, Inc. SAIA is
among the leading regional less-than-truckload (LTL) companies in the United
States.
The awards were presented at a dinner on April 21, 2008 that was held in honor
of the Carrier of the Year award winners. The Carrier of the Year awards will
be annually awarded by TTS.
