(April 30, 2009 - Dallas) Total Transportation Services (TTS) presented its second annual Carrier of the Year Awards to recipients in four distinct transportation categories including Rail, OTR, Drayman, and LTL.
Each winner was selected from a list of the top suppliers in their category. Criteria was based on such items as on-time performance, ease of use, technology, and revenue for the year from Total Transportation Services. TTS agents and employees then voted to determine the winners.
The 2008 TTS Carrier of the Year award winners are:
Rail Carrier of the Year: J.B. Hunt. The company is one of the largest transportation logistics companies in North America, providing transportation services throughout the continental United States, Canada, and Mexico.

OTR Carrier of the Year: U.S. Xpress. The company is the nation’s third-largest privately-owned truckload carrier providing dedicated, regional, and expedited team truckload services throughout North America.

Drayman Carrier of the Year: RoadLink Intermodal Logistics. This is the second consecutive year for RoadLink to receive this award. The company is one of North America’s largest, privately-held intermodal logistics providers.

LTL Carrier of the Year: Estes Express Lines. Based in Richmond, VA, Estes is a full-service transportation provider offering coast-to-coast North American coverage through its network of 200 terminals.

The awards were presented at a special dinner on April 21, 2009.
