(May 22, 2008) Total Transportation Services agency Positive Transportation located in Addison, Texas, and owned and operated by Tom Whaley and Ty Hatton, was recently honored by Frito-Lay with its Platinum Service Award for the company’s commitment to service.
Whaley and Hatton, as well as TTS president and chief executive officer Andy Cole, attended an awards banquet hosted by Frito-Lay's Logistics Communication Center where they received the award. Positive Transportation received the service award from Frito-Lay for 99.2% on-time delivery service.
Positive Transportation is the core carrier for Frito-Lay's snack food plant located in Lubbock, Texas. This plant provides specific products for all other Frito-Lay plants in the west half of the continental U.S. as well as delivering direct to other major retail warehouses.
Frito-Lay North America is the $11 billion convenient foods business unit of PepsiCo, which is headquartered in Purchase, NY. In addition to Frito-Lay, PepsiCo business units include Pepsi-Cola, Quaker Foods, Gatorade and Tropicana.
