T-Mobile and TTS partnership endures many years, many miles.

For Steve Tyree, the key to success for T-Mobile is efficiently moving thousands of products, thousands of miles each and every day. He should know. As the national warehouse and logistics manager responsible for overseeing all of T-Mobile’s distribution centers throughout the United States, Tyree has a big job with lots of responsibility.

His role is to coach and oversee the logistics processes T-Mobile has in place to effectively move thousands of products from manufacturing plants, through their distribution facilities and on to end users. Their distribution facilities include three main national warehouse centers and their many other regional distribution facilities. The company is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington.

Tyree knows his job is one he can’t do alone. In addition to a dependable staff of managers overseeing the national and distributor warehouses, Tyree works with Kent, Washington-based TTS agent, All Freight Solutions operated by Lonnie and Linda Yates, and has worked with them for over 12 years.

“T-Mobile has been partnering with All Freight Solutions, Inc. for over 7 years,” said Tyree. “We pretty much have an exclusive relationship with them to provide us with all our inbound and outbound transportation needs.”

He said the services include managing virtually all modes including full truck, ocean and LTL. All Freight even handles parcel and air transportation as those needs arise.

“Lonnie and his group have really done a great job for us over so many years,” said Tyree. “We really see them as our partner in business. They are always going the extra mile for us.”

Extra mile indeed. Tyree said one time when a stolen load full of T-Mobile product was not located by authorities, a member of All Freight staff jumped into action and on the trail. He flew down to a southern California border town and recovered the load fully intact.

Tyree says his T-Mobile division does not handle the products most people assume they do. “When most people think of T-Mobile they think of cellular telephones,” he said. “Actually, our division doesn’t any handle any cell phones or ancillary cell phone products.”

His T-Mobile division is primarily a provider of engineering products for the cellular industry infrastructure. They supply products like cables, switches, routers, and antennas. “Everything,” says Tyree “that is required for transmitting a signal from voice to receiver.” He says any given T-Mobile warehouse has over one thousand different products to track and move.

For Tyree, his job is a series of daily challenges that he loves to face and overcome. In fact, he wouldn’t have it any other way. “I have the best job of anyone,” say Tyree. “Some days I can’t believe I get paid for what I love to do.”

T-Mobile USA is a national provider of wireless voice, messaging, and data services capable of reaching over 268 million Americans where they live, work, and play. The company employs over 29,000 people.

T-Mobile USA is the US operating entity of T-Mobile International AG & Co., the mobile communications subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG & Co. K.G. (NYSE: DT). Deutsche Telekom is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, with more than 80 million customers worldwide.
